#19 Dr Venita Patel - Tackling childhood obesity and building healthy habits

Dr Venita Patel is a medical doctor specialising in paediatrics but is also trained in Nutritional Therapy. Further to her medical school degree, and postgraduate degrees, Venita wished to look further into the roles of nutrition and lifestyle and how they apply to the holistic picture of health! She currently works for Guys and St Thomas NHS Trust as a Community Paediatrician, with a particular interest in childhood growth and development, and run clinics in obesity and nutrition. She has extensive clinical experience from working in several hospitals in and around London and in the school health service.

In this episode, we talk about the fundamentals of child health and how to change childhood behaviour to improve health and reduce weight.
